a whole month has passed since my last cigarette.
i can't say that i feel happier or healthier or any of those things magazines say it happens when you stop. but i certainly feel very proud of myself.
a true smoker will always be a smoker and will always have cravings for a cigarette. so in the end it´s all a matter of willpower.
i take this opportunity to share a very good website i found about the smoking issue. Called FOREST: Freedom Organisation for the Right to Enjoy Smoking Tobacco.
http://www.forestonline.org
and i leave this quote from the same website:
If you do succeed in giving up don't be smug or sanctimonious or forget your old mates who still enjoy lighting up. You may have stopped but many more have no intention of following your example. Just because you've seen the light don't become a rabid ex-smoker determined to spoil other people's fun. Above all, resist the primeval urge to support a ban on smoking in public places just because the sight of someone else inhaling makes you want to light up. It just won't wash. You'll end up looking silly and sad and all your friends will hate you.
