the flask

this historical pub in highgate village is a great finding. dating back from the 18th century this is a place where you can really feel tradition persists in some places. the patio outside has old benches and a covered area, very useful for the english summer. inside there are different rooms, cosy and with a great character.
apparently it is called the flask because visitors to the hampstead springs would call in here to buy a flask to carry the waters home.
in our case, we were coming back from the lido and decided to go for a roast because it was sunday. unfortunately, the roast was finished but we had a more healthy option with grilled halloumi cheese, green salad and tabbouleh. still great, but we'll be back for the roast!
