"Enjoy weekly crochet sessions to learn the Hyperbolic Crochet technique. Some materials are provided, but please bring your favourite yarn and crochet hooks if you have them. The results of the workshops will become part of the growing Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef on display in the Royal Festival Hall and The Hayward Project Space.
The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef is a large-scale, constantly mutating series of handmade crochets which replicate the forms of natural coral. The project, organised by the Los Angeles-based Institute of Figuring is a direct response to the plight of coral reef from pollution and global warming."
